Outcomes for Pupils



  • To increase the % of pupils achieving expected standards and Greater Depth/Exceeding expectations at the end of KS1 & KS2 in reading, writing and maths
  • To diminish the difference between the attainment of disadvantaged and National ‘other’ non-disadvantaged pupils in reading, writing and maths.
  • To ensure all pupils on the More Able register achieve Greater depth/exceeding expectations at the end of the academic year or Key stage in that subject.
  • To improve progress rates of Pupils at SEN Support or with EHCPs to be in line with National averages.
  • To improve progress for all pupils from the end of KS1 to the end of KS2




Teaching, Learning and Assessment



  • CDG1: To develop pupils’ oracy skills
  • CDG2: To enable all pupils to succeed in Foundation subjects
  • CDG3: To research how the curriculum supports the development of the whole child

  • CDG4: to research how to develop pupils’ metacognition skills
  • To achieve the Unicef Rights Respecting School Award



Leadership and Management



  • To participate in the Achievement for All programme to improve outcomes for disadvantaged pupils.
  • To revise the CPS curriculum, to provide opportunities for transferable knowledge and skills, and learning at depth across all subjects.
  • To oversee transition for all stakeholders as the Broadwood site grows from 1 form entry to 1.5 form
